Let me start by complaining. It is sooo HOT already. We have had several days of 95 + degree heat, and the humidity is unbearable. Enough of that, moving on.
So, the potty training didn't go great. Due to lack of consistency from Mom and Dad and a little girl who is not ready, Reese is still in diapers. No worries though, she tells us every time there is any action in that diaper, as if we can't smell it.
One of our best friends, Ricky Snow, celebrated his 30th birthday on May 15. Jeff and I escaped and went to dinner with Ricky and other friends. I know for most people an evening out to dinner is somewhat of a common occurrence and doesn't require mentioning. However, when you consider most of our meals around here consist of a combo of pureed veggies and fruits for Will and whatever Reese will allow you to feed her, not to mention the screaming that is part of the evening, we loved going out! It was such a nice dinner and evening out, thanks to my parents for babysitting (is it really babysitting if it's truly their favorite pastime?).
At the end of May, I got to go to Los Angeles and attend the finale of American Idol. It was a last minute, whirlwind trip and I have to thank Michelle Tillis again for inviting me. We had a blast, I was blown away by the production of the show and maybe just a little star struck by Luke Perry, a.k.a. Dylan McKay from Beverly Hills 90210. Ladies who were teenagers in the 90's, you know what I'm talking about!!
On to June. I am trying to work a little more, Jeff has a great schedule. That being said, it's still scary times. Fuel prices are having a disastrous effect on the airlines. We try not to dwell on it too much, let's keep our fingers crossed.
Reese will be 2 soon, July 2! I can't believe it has gone by so quickly.
Jeff put some of our pictures in slide show at the bottom of the blog page. I know there are some from Ricky's b-day and my trip out to L.A. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Intro to the "zoo"
After receiving a link from our friend's the Tillis' to their blog, we decided to start ours. Jeff and I had been talking about starting one for awhile and their blog gave us inspiration, so thank you Michelle. This is a great way of keeping our families and friends caught up.
If you are reading this, chances are you know all of the following, but here it goes. Jeff and I have been married for a little over 3 years. In that 3 years a lot has happened. Short version: Jeff and I had our daughter Reese in July of 2006 and our son Will in November of 2007. Jeff took a job with Pinnacle Airlines in April of 2007 and is flying jets (his dream) out of Atlanta. I still work as a RN at Kennestone and Cobb Children's ER on an as needed basis.
Reese is our precious 22 month old. She is all-girl, big on the drama with a huge personality. We have known all of this since the day she was born. She tests us every day, but she also makes us laugh hysterically every day too. We are potty-training right now. Good times.
Will is almost 6 months old and an easy baby. It did not start out that way. The first four months were rough with long nights of not sleeping, constant reflux, and non-st0p crying. Will, Jeff and myself were dependent on the Fisher-Price swing to get any sleep at all. Luckily, at four months he started sleeping all night. Will is so happy now and interested in the world around him, particularly his big sister.
Jeff and I are endlessly working on our house and yard while trying to wrangle our "monsters."
We are exhausted at the end of the day after taking care of those two, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Jeff and I find ourselves worn down so often, but we remind each other that we are so lucky to have each other and 2 beautiful, healthy children.
